Outline:

This qualification is designed for driving operation job roles within the Transport and Logistics Industry. Successful completion of the qualification will require competence in units of competency that relate to the job role requirements defined as aligned at AQF Level 3. Successful completion of the licensing units within the qualification must align with licensing and regulatory requirements applicable to driving and state/territory regulatory requirements.

Training Content

In addition to the industry training such as pre vehicle inspections, accident procedures, environmental sustainability, navigation, prepare and process workplace documentation, safe driving behaviours and customer service; an example of a suggested Training Plan also includes a number of different compliance benefits, such as:

  • Manual Handling
  • Workplace Health & Safety
  • Fatigue Management
  • Dangerous Goods Awareness
  • Load Restraint, and
  • Chain of Responsibility.

Choice of Stream

As the delivery mode is workplace based, eligible participants and their employers can choose a stream of units relevant to their workplace. The following streams are available:

Aim:

A general qualification for the Warehousing and Storage Industry. Successful completion will require competency in units that relate to work defined as aligned at AQF Level 3.

Performance of a defined range of skilled operations, usually within a range of broader related activities involving known routines, methods and procedures, where some discretion and judgement is required in the selection of equipment, services or contingency measures and within known time constraints.

Content:

In addition to the traditional industry training such as Receival/Despatch documentation, Inventory Systems, Receival/Despatch Operations, Organise Warehouse Records, Control, order & receive stock, customer service, an example of a suggested Training Plan also includes a number of different compliance benefits, such as:

Training Plan

  • A minimum of 4 general elective units and a maximum of 5 general elective units  listed below (depending on the specialist elective group or job role selected), or the remaining specialist elective units.
