AIM The Diploma of Logistics is a general qualification for the integrated management of logistics in the Road and Rail Transport, Warehousing, Storage, Stevedoring and allied industries. The self directed application of knowledge and skills, with substantial depth in some areas where judgement is required in planning and selecting appropriate equipment, services and techniques for self and others. The Diploma in Logistics should successfully provide learners with a level of understanding that is more than just operations. On completion, you should be conversant with theory, be able to think strategically and have knowledge and skills that would enable you to lead a team or supervise the work of others. DESIGNED FOR This course is designed for those seeking or currently working in a supervisory/middle management position in a logistics or supply chain management role. OUTLINE Applications involve participation in development of strategic initiatives, as well as personal responsibility and autonomy in performing complex technical operations or organising others. It may include participation in teams including teams concerned with planning and evaluation functions.

PRE-REQUISITES Certificate IV in Transport and Logistics qualification or have two or more years relevant work experience is desirable but not essential DURATION Delivery is flexible and can be studied part time and may also be delivered in the workplace and can be designed for organisation Supervisor/Management training programs. The workplace program can be delivered face-to-face, distance learning resources and project work. This may involve workplace projects/assignments developed in conjunction to your real life work activities. QUALIFICATION GAINED TLI 501 07 Diploma of Logistics and successful completion may lead to credit in higher level degree studies at university. The Diploma of Logistics will enable trainees to develop their knowledge, skills and competencies in the field of logistics and supply chain management which will assist them in their management of resources, processes and people and assist in ensuring they are recognised in the workplace in their ability to fulfil more demanding roles.
