| Welcome to another edition of Transqual Tiger News. Changes to Government Subsidised Training - Victoria The main point being the youth compact. Meaning in short that: “If you have a trainee that is aged under 20 years, he/she is eligible for a government subsidised TAFE or training place (subject to admission requirements and availability). If he/she is aged 20-24 years, they are eligible for a government subsidised TAFE or training place that will get them a higher qualification than you already hold (subject to admission requirements and availability)” Therefore should you have any trainees under 24 years of age, this is the ideal time to start them on a Traineeship, regardless of how long they have been with your company.
