Changes to Government Subsidised Training - Victoria
As some of you may be aware there have been recent changes to the way that people are assessed for a Government Funded subsidised training place in Victoria for 2010.

The main point being the youth compact. Meaning in short that: “If you have a trainee that is aged under 20 years, he/she is eligible for a government subsidised TAFE or training place (subject to admission requirements and availability). If he/she is aged 20-24 years, they are eligible for a government subsidised TAFE or training place that will get them a higher qualification than you already hold (subject to admission requirements and availability)”

Therefore should you have any trainees under 24 years of age, this is the ideal time to start them on a Traineeship, regardless of how long they have been with your company.

Diploma of Logistics launched in Victoria and New South Wales
Eleven trainees representing nine different companies attended 1st session in Wickham office on 25th May. After initial induction and introduction, trainees commenced work on their 1st of 14 units required to complete their Diploma qualification. Trainees will continue to attend one classroom based session per month, utilising their personal and collective networking experience and qualifications to understand & complete the required work.

A Sydney based course will commence in our Smithfield office Wednesday 28th July.
